This design is the ‘Novak’ bag, part of McQueen's first complete accessories collection, proving an instant success that prompted long waiting lists and instant ‘It-Bag’ status. This bag was inspired by actress Kim Novak of Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, who he adored as child and it was a top pick for celebrities such as Beyoncé and Sarah Jessica Parker. This bag was donated by Alexander McQueen to the Museum of Bags and Purses in 2007.
