Knitted sock-shaped purse owned by the famous Dutch children’s’ author Annie M.G. Schmidt

This purse belong to the famous Dutch children's' author Annie M.G. Schmidt. To the purse comes a letter from donor (in Dutch), ex-volunteer at the Museum of Bags and Purses, explaining how she would go shopping for Annie M.G. Schmidt. Schmidt kept her house key in this purse after starting to suffer from dementia, and wore it around her neck. The purse was then given to the donor after Schmidt's death in 1995.
