Fairy handbag limited edition with print by artist James Jean, Prada

The luxury Italian brand of Prada has, like other famous fahion brands, collaborated with artists as well. In 2007, for example, illustrator and cartoonist James Jean was commissioned to create a wall design based on a Rem Koolhaas concept for Prada's New York store. He was also involved in a short-animated movie and was asked by Prada to develop a collection of fashion, bags and shoes. This was a novelty in Prada's history. Over one hundred pieces were made: garments but also shoes and bags, including the leather Fairy handbag by James Jean which is part of the collection of the Museum of Bags and Purses.
